Kyphosis Image: X-ray after Neck and Mid Back Kyphosis Spine Surgery

This post-operative x-ray is a view from the patient's side (lateral) and shows how rods, screws, and a cage were used to treat severe cervicothoracic (neck and mid back) kyphosis.  The surgical procedure involved vertebrectomy; a procedure that is performed to remove one or more vertebrae.  The patient's surgery started at C5 (fifth cervical vertebrae) and ended at L3 (third lumbar vertebrae).
