Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis Image: Rotation of the Spine Obscures Vertebrae

This 18-year-old's lateral x-ray shows a 102-degree kyhpotic curve related to severe adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.  The actual degree of the kyphotic curvature is probably underestimated, because the rotation of the spine (scoliosis-related) makes it difficult to see the vertebral bodies.
