About Our Practice

Bryan X. Lee, MD is a pain specialist doubly board-certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology, by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Bryan X. Lee utilizes the most current and proven techniques in pain management, which often involves a multimodal approach. Pain may affect all aspects of a person’s life, including his or her physical, mental, and social well-being. Based on each patient’s unique presentation, he may prescribe a combination of nerve blocks (“cortisone” injections), pain medications, physical therapy, behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based treatments. Advanced pain procedures include radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulators, and discography. His goals for each patient are pain relief, increased daily functioning, and enjoyment of life. Dr. Bryan Lee went to UCLA and majored in Biochemistry, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He went to Medical School at the University of California, San Diego. He completed both a residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in pain management from the University of Pittsburgh. His special focus is on interventional procedures for pain, especially spine-related (e.g. neck and back pain), musculoskeletal (e.g. hip and knee pain), and neuropathic pain (e.g. shingles-related pain and RSD). He treats a broad array of both common and uncommon painful conditions. A partial list of painful conditions treated include: Spinal disorders: neck and back pain, disc bulge/herniation, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, radiculopathy, sciatica, numbness/tingling, facet syndrome, scoliosis, postlaminectomy syndrome/failed back and neck surgery, vertebral fractures, and other spine related pain. Neuropathic disorders: diabetic neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy, shingles-related pain, rib pain/intercostal neuralgia, headache (occipital neuralgia), trigeminal neuralgia, post-thoractomy syndrome, and other nerve-related pain. Musculoskeletal disorders: shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain, elbow/wrist pain, sacroiliac pain/sacroiliitis, rib/chest wall pain, arthritis, degenerative joint disease, and other bone/joint related pain. Every patient’s pain experience is different. Dr. Lee believes in working with each patient as a team to formulate an optimal treatment plan that takes into account your past treatments, medical problems, and personal life.
