Dr. Bobby K-B Tay is based at the San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center and at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he is involved in a collaborative effort with the Department of Neurosurgery. His major interest is exploring the pathways that control primary injury, secondary injury and regeneration after spinal cord surgery. Other research interests include the biologic mechanisms that control bone formation in fractures and spinal fusion.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr.Tay earned his medical degree at the UCSF School of Medicine.
