Dr. Joshua Abrams is a fellowship-trained and board certified orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery, artificial disc replacement, and cervical and lumbar spine surgery. He employs innovative techniques to minimize postoperative pain and optimize each of his patients’ experiences. Dr. Abrams enjoys interacting with his patients and makes it a priority to stay engaged throughout their care.

Dr. Abrams completed his orthopaedic spine fellowship at Stanford University in Stanford, CA, where he was recognized as the top spine surgeon in his class. Prior to his fellowship, he completed his orthopaedic residency and intership at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. He gained additional spine training at both the University of California Davis in Sacramento, CA and at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, where he graduated magna cum laude with honors. While in Washington, Dr. Abrams worked at the Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle.

Dr. Abrams is recognized in Phoenix Top Docs magazine and is a nationally recognized minimally invasive surgery surgeon.

Dr. Abrams is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO), American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). He has volunteered his orthopedic services overseas in Costa Rica and Guatemala, and continues to have a passion for various other philanthropic endeavors.

In his spare time, he enjoys competing in triathlons, coaching his son’s baseball team, and spending time with his wife and four children.
