About Our Practice
Appointed to The Cleveland Clinic in 1997, Dr. Bingaman is Head of the Section of Epilepsy Surgery, Department of Neurological Surgery. He is also a staff physician with The Cleveland Clinic Spine Center. Dr. Bingaman’s specialty interests include epilepsy surgery and complex spinal disorders.
Dr. Bingaman received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his fellowship and residency at The Cleveland Clinic. Previously, Dr. Bingaman was commissioned as Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps. He currently holds the rank of Major, Combat Neurosurgeon, at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Bingaman is Chairman of the Communication and Education Committee, of the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies, and President of the Ohio State Neurosurgery Society. In addition, he is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, the Congress of Neurological Surgery, the Ohio State Neurosurgery Society, the Ohio State Medical Society, the Cuyahoga County Medical Society and the American Epilepsy Society.
Among Dr. Bingaman’s honors and awards, he received the Teacher of the Year Award from The Cleveland Clinic in 1997 and 2001.
