About our Practice

If you suffer from chronic pain and spent years trying various treatments, you will get relief at the UCSF Precision Spine and Peripheral Nerve Center. Our team of experts use advanced imaging to more precisely diagnose pain and ultimately help to alleviate it. Every day, we diagnose and treat back, neck, arm, leg and hip pain, and peripheral nerve disorders.

Thanks to our advanced techniques, our patients are either completely relieved from pain or able to start physical therapy, making surgery unnecessary. Pain relief can last from weeks to months or even longer.

One of our powerful tools is a 64-slice CT scanner that gives doctors a clear view of the patient’s inner anatomy for highly targeted treatment.  This allows the neuroradiologist to inject pain medication directly around the affected nerves and joints in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine for better results. Also available at the center is a Magnetic Resonance (MR) neurography , MR imaging of the peripheral nerves, a valuable tool to diagnose peripheral nerve disorders.

The UCSF Precision Spine center serves patients from around the San Francisco Bay Area and the world. Patients can choose to go to either UCSF Imaging Center at China Basin or Parnassus campus, both located in San Francisco and easy accessible by public transportations.
