This is an x-ray taken after a 9-year-old boy's extensive surgery to treat a severe angular kyphosis caused by tuberculosis.  The image is anteroposterior, which means the view is from the front to the back of the boy's body.  It shows a 3-level vertebrectomy (a procedure to remove one or more vertebral bones) and instrumented posterior (performed from the back) spinal fusion from C6-L2.
