X-ray after C5-L3 Spinal Fusion

Back to Image Library

This patient had undergone several prior surgeries to treat severe cervicothoracic kyphosis.  The cause of the disorder is not known.  After one of the surgeries, a wound infection developed that affected the quality of the tissue on the patient's back.  The x-ray shown here is from the most recent spine surgery, and is a view from front to back (AP, anteroposterior).  The procedure involved vertebrectomy, instrumentation, and spinal fusion from C5-L3.
