Here is a post-operative AP x-ray of an 18-year-old girl who was diagnosed with severe adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.  Before surgery, her thoracic scoliosis was measured as 127-degrees; surgery reduced the abnormal curve to 46-degrees.  Surgery involved removing T9, right 5-rib thoracoplasty, and rods and screws with spinal fusion from T2-L4.
