Cervical implant: PEEK

I had C5-6 fused in 1998 (standard ACF with plate and bone graft from bone bank) and am now considering a fusion at C6-7 because of disc compression, multiple car accidents, etc. Doc suggested a Poly Ether Ether Ketone (PEEK) implant. Advantage: I don't have to remove the hardware at C5-6 and the recovery time is faster as there is no bone to fuse and grow together. See:
