Hi, in 2015 I was diagnosed with grade 2-3 spondylolisthesis. I did all the conservative nonsurgical treatments like physical therapy, injections, rhyzotomy, accupuncture. I have talked to many different physicians and got different opinions about what I should do. I have chronic pain that is the worst when I am lying flat and try to get into sitting position, upon coughing, sneezing and turning to side while in lying position. If anyone has or had surgery for the same problem as well as experience with recovery after surgery I would appreciate the information, thanks,Maja

Hello, and thanks for sharing your spondylolisthesis experience with us.

It sounds like you've done all the right things: You explored conservative treatment first, and you've seen numerous doctors to understand the options available to you.

While we don't have a personal story to share about spondylolisthesis surgery or recovery, we'd like to pass along this article: ( Surgery for Spondylolisthesis ). It provides a great overview of what you might expect if you decide to undergo spine surgery. Also, if you scroll to the bottom of the article, you'll see some information about minimally invasive spine surgery, which may be something you haven't yet considered.

We hope this helps and wish you the very best of luck!
