Aches and pains

Started by Mr.Incredible on 07/09/2010 10:43am

Hey everyone, I am a new member here. I'm a 30 year old male and was diagnosed with grade 3 spondylolisthesis back in February of this year. Up until last fall I had never had any symptoms or pain from it so it sort of came on very suddenly and when I first went to the urgent care, it was because I thought I had a kidney infection or something. Everything was clear and the urged me to go see my orthopedic surgeon. He knew right away what the issue was.

Since that time, I've been working on stretching and strengthening my core and I feel that things have been getting better but in the last month, I feel like I've regressed a bit. Possibly because it is summer time and I'm a little more active now, not sure.

In any event, I just wanted to see if some of you get the same kinds of aches and pains that I do. I know that leg pain/cramps are pretty common and obviously back pain, but sometimes I get what feels like a cramp in my lower left abdomen, almost like a cramp you would get sometimes when running, although not quite that far on the side. Does anyone else have aches like this in the front side?

Do you find this discussion helpful?

If you have grade 3 spondylolisthesis, it sounds like you should probably get surgery. I had that and my surgeon said that it usually just gets worse.
