Had a car accident July 2016. Had spine surgery, t-11 vértebra was broken ,still in pain , walking is getting worse and sleeping is like laying down on rocks. 2 surgeons want to operate again sustitute the prótesis that is in my spine already, seems one of the nails is pressing my medular spine, went throw, but around it . And 3rd doctor gave me " lyrica" and told me to come back in 3 months. Don't know what to do! Please help! Any suggestions?

Hi, Lau Okey--thank you for sharing your experience with us. While we can't offer advice on how you should move forward with your treatment plan, we'd like to share an article with you that we think you'll find helpful ( Spine Surgery: Questions to Ask Your Doctor ).

When you're faced with different treatment options--particularly if spine surgery is among them,--we find the way to a clear path is to ask as many questions as you can to get a detailed understanding of what's in front of you. But oftentimes, during the short time you have with your spine specialist, your mind goes blank and you can't think of questions to ask. The article we've linked helps get the conversation started, and you might even consider bringing it with you to your next appointment.

If you've received answers to your questions and know as much as you can about the risks and benefits of your options, we think the right direction will become much clearer. Let us know how you move forward. We wish you the very best of luck!
