Surgery Advice

Started by gabilak on 04/11/2015 11:33am

Hello, my 10 year old had a curve of 14 degrees in 2012 and in 2015 the curve is at 64 degrees. she saw a Pediatric Orthopaedic who referred her to Richard C Henderson a surgeon at UNC Orthopaedics who wants to do surgery in 2 months. there has not been really any information about Dr Henderson. only that he has 34 years of scoliosis surgery experience. but there is no information from anyone sharing their experience from having surgery done by him only office visits. are there any parents who let their child have surgery with this doctor or any patients? or is there any stats about his surgeries any where? His bedside manner is a little abrasive but this does not mean he is not a good surgeon. I would appreciate any information about this doctor and your experience.

Thank You
