Constant Chronic Pain

Started by s1981jc on 08/04/2011 8:23pm

I am a 30 year old female with constant chronic pain in my lower back. I have a slight curve to the right in my lower back but doctors don't seem to think it would be enough to cause the amount of pain I'm in. I have had xrays and MRI's and they come out clear. It's not painful to the touch. I have tried some PT and seen a chiropractor. I have also had 2 cortisone injections, one I had an allergic reaction too and the other I was in a lot of pain after. I also wear custom made orthotics in my shoes. I have tried the stretching excercises the chiropractor and PT have recommended but they make my pain a lot worse. I am currently taking hydrocodone all the time and the pain just seems to get worse. I have a hard time sleeping and I'm tired all the time. I'm even starting to become depressed as this has been going on for 3 years. Does anyone else have this problem or can anyone give me any ideas as to whats wrong?

I am 34 year old female.. have been having chronic lower back pain since march of 2009... and I too have had xrays and mri and they cant seem to find anything. i also had the injections, which made the pain worse and so they said no more of those...i currently take tylenol 3 all it does is make me tired... yet no matter how tired i am i wake up constantly from the pain....i also am on medication for depression, that seem to be getting worse on a daily basis...soome days the pain is so intense i just wanna cry (whcih equals 5-7 days a week) everything you have done, I too have done, and I understand your feeling because I am living it.... my pain management doctor just told me tuesday that he won't see me anymore because nothing he is doing is helping me so there is no point in wasting his time.
