SCOLIOSIS OF THE SPINE

Started by 3OldCats on 10/26/2010 8:22pm

WHAT WILL THE END RESULT BE FOR ME IF I CONTINUE PUTTING UP WITH THE PAIN. I TRIED PHISICAL THERAPY BUT I DON'T SEE IT BEING ABLE TO HELP ME. DOESN'T SEEM TO BE THE RIGHT THE RIGHT PATH TO TAKE. EVEN THE THERAPISTS WERE RELUCTANT TO SAY IF AND WHEN I MIGHT GET RELIEF. I DON'T WANT TO END UP LIKE THE PICTURES I HAVE SEEN ALTHOUGH IT LOOKS AS THOUGH I AM HEADED THAT WAY. HAVEN'T MET ANYONE WITH THIS DISEASE TO TALK TO.

I have scoliosis, my pain was very bad. My curve which I had 2 was82 degrees.
My backbone was under my left shoulder and ribs were on my pelvis, even my head shifted.
No one would help me where I live. They didn't know how. I was told it would get my organs and I would die. I found these doctors at Baylor that did surgery on me and I am straight.
I am 57 yrs old and it has been 3 months since my surgery.I had even lost my height 5'5 to 4"11
ft tall. There are 3 or 4 sets of dr's that do this surgery in the US. I hope you go andsee a dr. get MRI
to see how bad it is.

Thanks through new breakthroughs we can pretty much lead a normal life. I just turned 51 and was told I wouldn't live past 40!!!
I dumped that primary care "doctor" a long time ago
