Constant pain and highly sensitive skin

Started by JamieD on 11/20/2019 4:15am

I am 4 weeks post anterior/posterior 7-level fusion and I am miserable. There is a bone joint deep pain reactive to narcotics ad Valium, However, the surface of my skin from nipples bilaterally up and across shoulders is driving me insane. I dot think any of this is worth it now. I haven’t slept more 30 min in 3 weeks. A night. I tried tens, ice, heat, cannabis cream and holy water. Any suggestions?

Hi- I had to have a spinal fusion c-3 to c-8. The surgeon removed 2 vertebrae that he said were infected. All of this because of a secondary infection from a botched trach procedure. I ended up with an abscess in my neck with cord compression. This was March 27th 2019. I too had terrible sensations, sensitivity and nothing helped but time to heal. I still have issues but improvement over time. I pray that you feel the same way in 6 months. Stay strong, think positive and never give up.
