Is this NORMAL?

Started by Dog Lover on 03/14/2015 1:35pm

I had two laser neck and lumbar surgeries. The first neck surgery was 6 weeks ago. They stated if these didn't work I would need hardware. My pain is worse than pre-surgery now. It is at about a 7. My neck is very hot to the touch and I have a slight fever. I am concerned because the pain is much worse than it was. I know the neck takes longer to heal-I just wanted to know if this is a sign I will need a fusion, there is an infection, or if this is normal? I appreciate any feedback! Thank you

Doglover,

Sorry to see you are in discomfort. You might want to call your surgeon's office who performed the laser surgery. Fever after 6 weeks is not a good sign.

Do you have post surgery instructions that would have been given to you when you were discharged?

Praying for you and keep us up to date on how you are doing!
