Pain after cervical spinal surgery

Started by kathryn on 03/22/2012 9:02am

I had cervical spinal surgery November 2011, 3 fusions with a titanium plate and screws. Now, after almost 5 months the numbness that was in the front of my neck at the incision area is slowing gaining feeling. But with this feeling is also some twinges of pain. Is this normal? I asked my surgeon and he says I shouldn't have any pain at the site of the incision. I'm having a tough time believing him because I'm the one experiencing the feeling. Anyone else out there have this experience after surgery?
