Hi calmwater1,
Well i would love to be your friend, and this is the place to feel free to share and trust me there are many people who share in your pain.I have the same in my neck and low spine, suffered a work related injury in June 2009.My whole life took a huge 360 degree turn in one day.I too used to laugh a lot ,i was very active, feel like so much was stolen from me.Things will get better,i just now had surgery on my low spine, and will most likely get the surgery on my neck next. The neck surgeries are supposed to be very successful You may never feel completely like your self again because these spine issues stay forever, but it will not always be this bad. Also find a good doctor that you trust.Best wishes,i will say a prayer for you.
Blessings,
Nurse Nancy.

Hi Nurse Nancy - thanks for reaching out to me !
I am seeing a neuro surgeon tomorrow and I hope I can put this "bump in the road of life" behind me soon. So sorry to hear about your pains .... I know there are many others worse off than me.

Sometimes you need to talk with someone who knows what it's like to be in such discomfort.
I'm new to this site. Sorry it took so long to respond. Feel better !

I had the surgery in February. I was in really bad shape before that. I dont feel pain, due to being numb from my shoulders to my toes, but I must say, after I had the surgery, I am doing half as better than before surgery. I'm glad I went through with it. I am hoping that someday I will be myself again. Due to spinal cord damage that was done by stenosis, bulging disc, pinched nerves, and compressed spinal cord, it is all a matter of time now to see how much healing will occur and how much feeling I will get back.
