How do we do it?

Started by Jwinck on 07/03/2010 12:19am

If u can't get out of bed or get laid up for a week if u just need groceries how the he'll are we supposed to do pt? I plan one small activity a day if that and have to limit my activity just to say good night to my kids. Thank God for them or nothing would get done around here. For the longest time they couldn't even touch me without me having pain...until meds. I had to stay home from my sons 18 th bday party because I couldn't move. That was 2 months ago. The more I try to do the worse my condition is. Hmmmmm.

How did this happen and what do the doctors say? Have you tried alternatives?

I feel exercising does help me a little. Every 10 days I'm in bed from pain, puking sick for two days from overdoing it. I wish I knew what overdoing it equaled each time. Sometimes it's just standing the wrong way. I understand exactly what you're saying. That's why I'm choosing surgery(my surgery is scheduled July 22 for a fusion). My bad days are just so on tolerable. I want to live a normal life again. My backache is like a kidney stone that never passes. I would have never

thought there could ever be anything worse than a kidney stone. Chronic back pain definitely is. It just never goes away. I truly understand good luck.
PS just be careful of these people that are trying to sell laser surgery on this website. Whenever they're announcing a doctor's name or where they had their laser surgery. They're trying to con all of us.

I have done biofeedback, acupuncture, accupressure, massage therapy, including hot rocks, deep breathing therapy, kindof like lamaze, a tens unit maybe 3 times over the years, I even had a spinal cord stimulator put in. Now that is hard core operation of course I had to have it taken out because my body started to reject it. I think that covers most of my alternative therapies. I have abdominal pain...4 different kinds which is where this all started, numb arms, or shooting pain depends on which day and now have siezures. 3 of my grandparents are living and over 90! Ask me if that makes me happy...yes that I get to have them for such a great part of my life and NO because I am not going thrunthis shit for the next 50 yrs! Of course by then maybe they will figure out what the he'll is wrong with me and have a cure. Yippee.
