Post surgery issues

Started by Jodib11468 on 03/04/2019 6:44pm

I had a Mobi-C two level TDR surgery in June 2016. Post surgery I still had minor numbness down left arm to the hand. Surgeon said numbness might go away within six months to a year. It has not.

Now it’s over two and a half years later and the numbness is still there. However, recently the tingling and pain sensation has increased quite a bit. I hVe been working out, so that may be cause.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not in same state as surgery, so not sure what to do.

Hi, Jodib--thank you for your post. We don't have a personal experience to share but are sorry to hear about the numbness you continue to feel in your arm and hand.

Since you no longer live in the state where you had surgery, have you thought about getting a second opinion from a different surgeon or spine specialist in your area? As you noted, it’s been more than 2 years since your surgery and your symptoms have increased.

Getting advice from another spine surgeon may help determine if your exercise regime is causing or aggravating the situation.

We hope you are able to get some answers and relief soon!
