Can I run after a C4-7 disecectomy and attachment?? Pls help

Started by Chr1s on 01/21/2018 11:53am

I was smashed into while parked at a red light in 2005. The ramifications of that day are so intense now, I had to stop running marathons, and then working. I was fired due to lies I never submitted my recovery information!! FIRED? But who knows? I don't? Can I run after a C4-7 attachment??

Hi, Chr1s--thanks for your question! To know for sure whether running is safe for you, we recommend asking your spine surgeon if you're cleared to run. Your surgeon understands your specific spinal condition and medical history, and he/she is best positioned to give you to green light.

If you are cleared to run, this article includes some great tips on running safely with a spinal condition: ( Running and Degenerative Disc Disease ).

We know it's frustrating if you have to adjust your lifestyle after neck surgery, but it's best to be on the safe side to protect your spine. We hope this information is helpful to you!
