Surgery

Started by Ninja Grandma on 01/19/2017 1:06am

Having been an active person life long the though of an extended hospital stay made me feel ill. That was 1976. Again in 2004, and last 2012 several Drs. got in on the discussion and surgery the theme again. NO!... and a therapist was suggested, who sent me to the pool @ a Sr. Ctr. with classes for aging bodies. Thank God. Much better, now @ 80 doing what I like daily exercises, walking and inspiring others to keep it moving.

Ninja Grandma, you inspire us! Physical activity is so important at every age to maintain good health. You mention walking and aquatics exercises, which are gentle yet effective ways to tone and strengthen your spine. Pair those with some gentle stretches (there are some good suggestions in Slideshow: How to Keep a Healthy Spine ), and you're set!
