Burning Pain while walking in Hips and Thighs

Started by 1468748744@facebook on 04/28/2012 7:50pm

Does anyone have any idea what this pain is. I have seen nunerous dr's and no one can help. I can't be the only person on earth with this pain. I think it's the L3. This burning pain starts when I walk. I can only walk 15 to 30 steps and than it starts. First the hips and down the front of my thighs (it doesn't go below the knee). I have tried decompression (DX) but that caused foot pain. Can anyone help?

Hi Carolann,

It could be sciatica. I get burning pain in my hamstrings, mainly when I sit, though. It is believed I might have a trapped sciatic nerve, though I am not sure what is causing it yet. I am waiting on a hamstring/ pelvic MRI to help diagnose my issue. Perhaps having similar tests may help you? Good luck!

Hey I recently had this problem and I've tried the exercises on this website and they worked along with RICE (rest, ice, compression, extension). The buring feeling is like pain from hell which I would not wish on my worst enemy....but I have to admit that the exercises and the ice packs helped. I believe the pain is a strained psoas muscle or worse, a pinched siatica. I intend to ask my doc to carry out a mri as I do not want a repeat of this problem. I am also doing the exercises on this website daily.
