Nerve pain after fusion surgery

Started by lpowers on 06/04/2018 10:24pm

It has been a month since my surgery for complex rotary scoliosis, severe stenosis, disc degeneration, spurs and deformities. I have a fusion from T10 to S1, multiple cages, 2 rods and screws. My only troubling pain now is in my legs and feet. I am still numb in my upper left thigh and awful nerve pain all the way into my feet. The nerves actually hurt more now than before surgery. Is this normal? What can I do to help? I would like to be done with the pain meds but still need to take some to handle the nerve issue.
