Severe Calf Pain

Started by CarolineHsu71 on 02/08/2018 2:35pm

I had a discectomy and right side facetectomy (decompression surgery with fusion) at L4-L5 for a far lateral herniation that caused chronic sciatica. My surgery was 12/20/17. Since then I experience severe right calf pain when standing, far worse than any pain I had prior to surgery. My Dr feels confident this is the nerve healing from compression and that it’s angry from the surgery but I am flat out scared by this pain. I work where I stand for a living and am also scared at how long this is taking to resolve. Has anyone here had this experience? Does anyone have any advice?

L4 L5 hard to recover you will have that S1 nerve driving you crazy by messing with your muscle spasms. I had L4L5 done 3 years ago notice I lost all mass muscle and it’s very notable and very weak on that side.
