Radical surgery?

Started by dixi34 on 06/27/2020 11:03am

I have already had 4 surgeries on lower back and one on neck. My entire spine is pretty much destroyed. Now They say that I need a two-step surgery. On like a Tuesday they would go in through my side and do a lot of the "prep-work" about 2 to 4 hours. Then I would be put in a room and must lay totally flat until going back in to surgery on Thursday. That day they plan to "twist the bottom of my spine back around to face front. (now faces sideways), straighten it up and do a "long fusion". Anyone heard of this? Anyone had anything like this? They say my age does not matter since other than my spine I am healthy. I am 76. Please anyone, comment if you can. This sounds God awful.
