Kyphoplasty on multiple levels outcome

Started by KrisHarris on 03/16/2019 11:01pm

Hi. I am wondering if anyone has had kyphoplasty on multiple levels (I need 4 done), and what has been their outcome? I have 4 wedge compression fractures at T7,8, and 9 plus 1 fracture at L4/5. They are due to high doses of prednisone for 2 years which caused extreme osteoporosis. I need prednisone because I also have Adhesive Arachnoiditis, an extremely painful spinal canal injury caused by a missed epidural steroid injection, which entered my spinal canal and ruined my life al,oust completely. Was sitting up a few hours/day total., but because of co,pression fractures, can only sit up a few minutes, let alone walk.

People with Adjesice Arachnoiditis aren't supposed to have ANY more surgeries, as it can cause the Arach to create more scar tissue in spinal canal, causing even more extreme damage to nerves connected to all parts of your body. Even dental surgery caused it to attack me, making me much worse.

I am afraid of having to have this kyphoplasty and am just wondering please if other people could tell me their outcome.

Thank you so much for any advice!
