Nerve pain

Started by Jacqui on 03/01/2019 6:46am

4 years ago I fell and broke L2 and had to have rods and pins
Inserted . I have my own restaurant and had to take off work
For 6 months!
I was left with nerve damage in left leg which I managed with 600
Mg of Lyrica, damazapam and paracetamol.
Last July I fell badly before going to Italy and went on ahead
But was in some pain while there , when I came home I had
An MRI which showed up a compression fracture of L 4
Which consultant said he would leave to heal itself
But this past while I have fell so many times and now have a Numb
Left foot and up the side of the leg!!!
It drives me mad!
The lyrcia wasn’t helping it so my GP PUT ME ON
DULOXETINE 60mg two weeks ago...I’m still falling as I think my foot keeps turning outwards
The nerve pain still is horrendous
CAN ANYONE ELSE RELATE TO ME OR GIVE ANY ADVICE!!!
I would REALLY APPRECIATE IT ASAP
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

I am on Duloxitine 60 mg also and it doesn't do anything for my pain. What you are describing sounds like its coming from your siatic nerve. You should tell your doctor you want to see a pain specialist. They can do more for your pain than just a GP. I have a bulged disc in my back that is causing the siatic nerve pain. So far they have tried shooting steroids in my back twice which didnt help. I just had some nerves burnt in my back 3 days ago but still in pain.. The doctor said it could take up to 2 weeks to feel a difference. Hope it works. This has been going on for about 9 months now.
