Medial branch block???

Started by Mamarazzi1981 on 11/02/2018 11:28am

I have an appt coming up and it’s called a “medial branch block” in my c spine. I am wondering what it is like. Does it always help? Does it hurt during? I can’t get sedated because I have kids that I have to get from school after. I’m terrified, but I want relief! My MRI report I posted in a discussion but it said I had a bulging disc at c5-6, a broad based disc protrusion causing anterior cord effacement at c4-5, and a focal disc protrusion causing anterior cord effacement at c3-4. Plus I have multi level facet arthritis and some degenerative disc disease. I don’t know for sure what that means, but does it mean I have 2 herniated discs and a bulging disc? Will that injection help those issues? Are they allowed to inject my entire neck? Lol I like the idea of being pain free but how will I hold my head up if I’m completely numb from c2-7?
