I am hoping that there is someone who has experienced cervical stenosis or lumbar stenosis and made the decision to have the affected areas fused. My question is now that the morphine pump is no longer being used, did you experience pain during the immediate healing process?

Hi, Bysbee--Thank you so much for your question! We hope others in our Community share their experiences with spinal fusion for spinal stenosis with you.

As you weigh whether to have spine surgery, we have a terrific resource we'd like to share:( Surgery for Spinal Stenosis )

This article provides a great overview of the surgical approaches used for spinal stenosis, including a bit about what you might expect during the recovery period.

We hope this information helps as you weigh this important decision. Keep us posted on how you're doing!
