About 2years ago I was going to pain management my boyfriend at the time got mad because I wouldn't give him a pain patch so he called my docs office and told them I was selling my pain pills . This is my story , in 2006 I was coming home from work and a guy jumped the median and hit me headon . My legs were crushed I had eight surgerys in both legs my neck was broke c1 and c2 I died 3times on the table also my left arm was crushed . Since the wreck I have had 4back surgeries and 4 neck surgeries . I have chronic pain I have nerve ending pain . I just would like to know how long does someone stay in the black list

Hi, Dianemigliore--thank you for your post. Admittedly, we do not know the exact answer to your question, as we are not medical professionals. However, we are surprised that your doctor's office would prevent you from getting your medication based exclusively on your boyfriend's story (and not a formal conviction, for example).

If we were in your shoes, we would call your doctor and ask why you're unable to receive the prescription medication, as we assume you were never convicted of a crime. We wonder if getting in touch with you state medical board might also help.

We hope this information is helpful. Please keep us posted on what you find out!
