spinal fusion c5 and 6

My wife 62 had spinal fusion c 5 and 6 April of 2016 . She is still in pain 16 months later ,lots to tingling and pain in arms hands and fingers . she has had so many tests to rule out anything else she is exhausted dealing with this . It is causing depression and a lot of Morning anxiety . Can anyone help us to under stand this and give us some direction on what to do

Hi, Greg--thank you for your post. We are so sorry to hear about your wife's pain and symptoms after spine surgery.

Neuropathic pain (the tingling you describe is an example of this type of pain) is such a complex type of pain, and sometimes it never completely goes away. But, there are some ways to reduce it. Have you talked to your doctor about the possibility of medication to help reduce her pain?
