Spine Stimulator

Started by CrazyMimi on 04/06/2017 1:21pm

I'm new to this, so I'm probably doing it wrong. I have a mess of issues in my back and neck, scoliosis, three herniated discs, no cushion left between my discs, arthritis in my back...you name it. I cannot stand or walk for more than 5 minutes without having no choice but to fall or sit down. Sometimes when I am walking my knees buckle. Anyway, I am scheduled for the spine stimulator trial next week. I did have to have a psychiatric evaluation. The doctor said that he has patients that have literally gone from a wheel chair to jogging. If this thing works, it could change my life!! I just wonder if anyone else has this and if so, could you share your experience?

Thanks, and I apologize if there are already answers out there for this.

Don't apologize!
We are all here for this one word PAIN!
After a failed spinal fusion my first doctor concealed and then removing hardware fracturing my parsL5S1, I have come to the end of the road and "forced"by family and friends and ultimately to start a trial stimulator.
I was led to believe recovery 3-6 months but last minute had to be fitted brace first fusion.
Anyway scheduled August 23 trial. YES I too have reached the point where I can't stand or move after 5 minutes.
Just getting to doctor to have nurse write scripts and then having to go to a private pharmacy wipes me out for a week! My wife drives me and gets my meds. I've been in my own hospital bed in my own room and had to move to a one floor 3 bedroom house. Hoping this trial works because I'm not living!
I have a 14 year old son I don't know anymore literally since can't drive him to activities spend time with him and he doesn't know how to deal with this but avoidance. My wife at wits end.
After all the promises and fears told me that if I didn't have fusion I'd be I. A wheelchair in 5 years!
Well I'm in the hospital bed phase!!
