C4/5, C5/6, C6/7 Anterior Decompression Fusion

Started by Mark Janes on 03/21/2017 1:05pm

Was diagnosed with disc degeneration in C4/5, C5/6, C6/7 I had them all fixed at the same time at the end of August 2015. I've had a hard time in recovery with so many spasms and pinched nerves, old healing nerves, pain and sometimes I feel so lucky to know what pain is. Anyone have issues with their anterior decompression fusion.

Hello, and thanks for sharing your ACDF post-op experience with us. We are so sorry to hear that you've had a difficult time in your recovery.

Have you talked with your surgeon about the pain you've endured since your surgery? While some pain is to be expected after surgery--and some recovery times can be quite long--you can and should reach out to your spine surgeon if you sense that your recovery isn't going as planned. If your surgeon isn't concerned about your recovery, you'll get some peace of mind, so it's worth the call.

We hope your pain subsides soon!
