Chronic pain

Started by Momma R on 07/12/2016 4:41pm

My doctor recommends posterior lumbar fusion due to a disc that herniated, collapsed, and is now completely gone. My vertebrae are grinding my sciatic nerve. No other discs are involved. I have tried physical therapy, acupuncture, and am currently on narcitic pain meds. Has anyone had a similar surgery? Please share your thoughts and experiences.

Hi, since it's just a disk problem have they recommended an artificial disk? I have one at L5/S1 and was a success.
