5 days post c6c7 acdf surgery

Started by Vic39 on 03/12/2016 10:57pm

After everything I read before having my surgery I was very worried that it wouldn't work, I even contemplated not having surgery because of reading so many posts of surgery going wrong or not working and in some cases making things worse. Well I am now 5 days post op and I can honestly say that I'm so glad I had the surgery I felt immediate relief when I woke up in recovery. I have some pain at the surgery site which all the doctors and nurses tell me is normal and i also have some pain at the back of my neck which they also tell me is normal at this stage of my recovery other than that I now can feel my pinkie fingers for the first time in 12 months and my arms don't ache and I can move them without any pain shooting up my arms which is great so in all I would say that my surgery has been successful I'm so glad that I gave it a shot. The doctors at this stage are predicting that I should get back to between 95-100 percent which is great. I'm feeling stronger everyday. Thankyou to everyone for the advice I received prior to surgery all your tips have been a great help.
