9 Months Post-Op, Still Having Issues...

Started by 149508464747112... on 08/29/2015 6:58pm

Had C5-C6 fusion, titanium plate with 2 screws 2 days before Thanksgiving 2014. Wore the sponge collar for 10 like I was told. Have done all the neck exercises each day and have still these issues. Trouble sleeping can't get comfortable. Neck still stiff and sore. Hands still swell up just at my side hanging down standing or walking, get red using them, like holding a cup of coffee. Toes, feet, legs numb all the way up to my torso. Muscle spasms all over. Loss of balance standing for any longer than 15 to 20 minutes. Also have Degenerative Disc Disease, L5-S1...the longer I go the more this is hurting trying to lay on either side...feels like somebody pushing & pulling down on my leg. Tremors almost non-stop. Taking metoprolo tartrate & lisenopril for high blood pressure, pravastatin for high cholesterol, omeprazole for GERD, clonazepam for anxiety and gabapentin for my tremors-restless leg-seizures/spasms. Can't seem to do anything, but stay in bed. I do my own laundry, fix my plate of food but can't load/unload dishwasher. Supposedly no pinched nerves in lower lumbar but nobody has checked since Feb 5th. Ankles snap all the time sounds like twigs snapping. Also have glaucoma and macular degeneration. 20/20 left & 20/400 right eye, last eye exam June 26th 2014. Can't get a medical card and have been trying for disability since Sept 2011. Lawyer continues on so why stop now, but this is getting tiresome to say the least.
