New to spine universe cervical pain chronic-will be starting pain management

Started by Litlgrn on 01/10/2014 3:14pm

I have had an acdf c4-c7 in 2010. It was a success and after 2 months I was back to work as an LPN. I have been treating DDD for z10years prior to surgery. I was able to work full time until after a patient lifting episode at work I was done. Had SEVERE pain for months following lifting episode and have been on W/C ever since.
So after many doc consults; I have been referred to pain mgmt.
I am scared cause I don't know what to expect and my GP says "There is no silver bullet" to help, and surgery is not an option. My life has radically changed d/t severe pain, weakness. Can't do most of my adl's .it is a life changer!!
I would welcome anyone who would chime in with experiences.
