Bridging Anterior Osteophyte C4-C5, TDR C6-C7

Started by robomed35 on 07/18/2013 1:58pm

Hello,
I had a total disc replacement of C6-C7 in Sep 12, I am active duty military, but also have been told I have a bridging anterior osteophyte at C4-C5. I get a lot of pain at the left side base of my neck, especially with doing anything overhead. I also get severe headaches when my neck starts stiffening up after physical exertion. My concern is whether the bridging osteophyte is helping or hurting my neck condition. I did not have the pain at the base of my neck to left until after my surgery. Neuro doc says the headaches are occiptial Neuralgia cause by the arthritis and tightening of muscles on the occipital nerves. Anyone have anything similar. Thanks.
