Spinal Cord Stimulator

Started by MichelleK on 06/17/2013 12:14am

I would appriciate any type of feedback or experiences that any of you have had or shared with family or friends. I want to hear both positive and negative sides of a spinal cord stimulator. My dr has told me that this is a possibly my past option, and I'm researching information on the SCS, but I want to hear real peoples experencies. Thank you for your time and any feedback you will share with me.

Hello MichelleK,

I too am looking for honest feedback about SCS. My doctors keeps telling me this is what I need to do. I have had hardware issues from both lumbar fusions and I really do not cherish the though of more instrumentation/metal implanted into my body.

I would like to know the statics on successful vs failed implants. And from a company independent of the implant manufacture. Is there any information out there?

Yes, you can have it removed, but once damage is done there is no turning back, just like the spinal fusion. So like you MichelleK, I want to hear from folks out there, not just read the horror stories you find on line.

Can you please share with us? As you know it is a big step that can affect us for the rest of our lives. We simply want to make as educated a choice as possible.
