Hi everyone had questions I had surgery 2 years ago I have a titanium plate and 6 screws in my neck I wanted to know if people with the same condition if they too have constant pain.? Right now I'm laid up in bed in excruciating pain. I feel like the surgery helped a little b/c before he surgery I lost all feeling on the left side of my body and now I have strength. But the constant pain is ridiculous I'm only 25 and had the surgery at 23

Do you find this discussion helpful?

Hi Samanthe,, sorry to here of your issues.Like all of us the surgeries fix the structural part, and yes help by giving us back the use of our limbs, but unfortunatly the surgeries dont fix the nerve damage that has already been affected, thats why your still in chronic pain. Do you see Pain Management? unfortunatly thats what we all go through, seing PM, the meds help to atleast make it tolerable,,we always have good and bad days. If your not on Pain Maagement speak to your doc for the refferal,,I hope it helps. Keep us informed. We R all here to listen and help w advice according to our different experiences..Whats worse is hearing that your so young,,Im sorry for that,,U R the age of my daughters and if they were suffering like you It would break my heart as it is for knowing your going through this,,God Bless and keep up the faith,,try to enjoy the holidays as best as you can,,if its going to B painful either way, atleast try to enjoy the holiday seasson,,its a good distraction. As far as shopping we have all resorted to online shopping,,Amazon is a great site. Hope I was of some help..Rene :)
