Driving Pre - Post Surgery , Did anyone ever get a DUI on Narcotic Pain Meds?

Started by Sam227 on 11/09/2012 5:46pm

I was at my PM office , a cop wouldn`t stop a one of us there. I bet we were higher then kids on a friday night. But not a one of us were going to drive bad. We have to drive if we don`t live in a city.

@sam227. I don't know if there is a test available for driving under the influence of narcotics. But just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD.
Medications effect everyone in different ways. Personally, am not "alert" enough to drive when I take my meds, and sitting in a car is to painful to do without them. Therefore, I CHOOSE not to drive.
My loved ones are out there on the road. I pray to God, that when you choose to drive, knowing you are "higher than kids on a Friday night," that you think long and hard about the innocent lives you are putting at risk! People like you scare me.

I live 35 miles away from the nearest town. ( 47 miles from my Dr.) I haven't been in the drivers in two years, so I understand the impact of not driving. But to risk innocent lives is not only reckless, but it's also dangerous and selfish.
