I had cervical spine surgery in February. It was the easiest surgery I have ever had . I had a sore throat for 2 days . Even the incision didn't hurt. I didn't need any pain meds. I am having surgery on lower back next month. They are going to replace a deteriated disc and fuse. I hope it is half as good as the first surgery.

I have been trying to locate the responses to your above comment. My son has had two back surgeries and after the second one two years ago he is in extreme pain plus loses his balance because of his one leg. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I am a nurse, but this is out of my league
