Im gonna try to put thelast 24 years, hundreds of drs.several diagnosis, probably millionsof dollars, and several exausted ins. companys in 2 tortoring words BACK PAIN.Over the last 15 years Ive went from 1 job to another for ins. so i could go to the dr so I could get out of bed every day.And we all know you cant apply 4 dissability or ssiwithout a dr.But Ive been turned down because I had to work?Ive lost everything I own and completely ruined my credit.I think I owe every dr. in Ohio. In desperation I finally had a L4L5 fusion 2 weeks ago by now they know my ins.is done sothere draggin there feet with pain meds and my follow up.
I cant do this anymore!Theres no way Im gonna be able to return to work this time and I cant keep depending on the kindness of family and friends.Any advise?Anyone?

I am so sorry, did not know your name,i just want to say hang in there.I am in an ugly work comp case ,and now had a car accident a few weeks ago.All i have to say is i have totally had to rely on God in this mess because it is WAY too much for me to handle on my own.Things have always seemed to work out. What state do you live in.Can you apply for social security disability?I have been a nurse 29 years ,and i know i will not be able to return to this profession....DDD in my neck and back, waiting for insurance to approve my surgery.
Blessings,
nurse in pain.

I was turned down twice by SS, you have to get a lawyer really to get your SSDI. There are lots of Law Firms that will take your case and you don't pay unless you win and then they only take a percentage of what you have owed from the time you were hurt until the thime you are approved for dissablility. The SS has to pay you for all the time between when the dissability happend and you are approved. It comes in one large check depending on how long the time period is. The big check will help you get back on your feet and then you will get a regular check once a month. You should also be approved for Medicare at the same time, so that will at least give you some insurance also. Please find a lawyer that will do the work for you. They usually get things rolling but it still takes a little time but if they take your case you can pretty much garauntee you will win, They have done it so long they will know if you will win or not thats why they only get paid if you win if they take your case. Mine went before a Judge and he could not believe I was turned down in the first place, I wish you all the luck in the world, hang in there you do have friends on here. If your in the Houston area call the Makris Law Firm, also give me a shout. I have 2 metal detectors I bought so when I have a good day I can do that and it's just a slow wlking around kinda thing so it helps to get your mind off the pain and the pain of everyday life we all are going through. I just saw that you are in Ohio, Move to Texas, we don't have State Taxes and you will have a better living on what you will get off of SS.

By the way Social Security when you win your disability will have to back pay you for the time it took to get approved back to 3-6 mo.s after the disability was first filed. Hopefully you will get enough in one check to pay off a lot of your debt so you will have more from your disability instead of bills.

I am so sorry for all the pain u have been through., I totally agree with the post before mine. You have to find a SS disabiliaty lawyer. There is one out there that will help you. Look in the yellow pages , or online. I too am in Tx and I myself had to apply for ssdi twice and be turned down and then the lawyer will take ur case..yes, u will be back paid from onset of disability, the lawyer will get his part and u wil get the rest.....then ur on ur way to a regular ssdi check. if u haven't already applied for ssdi u can do it online, not a hard thing to do....the hardest part is waitin to get denied, because u will, then u appeal it,,,,get denied again ..and then a lawyer will help u.Sounds like u have always worked, therefore u have paid in ss and they owe u. It's not like ur trying to get a "check" for free.......u have paid for it....Good Luck and I hope the best for u....oh yea just sayin, Bob Richardson Law Firm took my case and they are awesome
