hern disc c4-c5-c6-c7-lumbardiscl4-l5-l6-and so on?

I,AM 51 YEARS OLD I WANT TO KNOW IF I CAN GET SURGERY,I ALSO HAVE SPINAL STENOIS.
BESIDES HERN DISC AND BULGING,DISC. CERVICAL AND LOWER SPINE.MY TREATMENTS, ARE NOT HELPING AT ALL ITS BEEN OVER 5 YEARS AND NOTHING SEEMS TO HELP. I,AM TIRED
OF LIVING WITH THIS PAIN. I,AM LOOKING FOR A SURGEON IN THE OCALA FLA AREA FOR A SECOND OPINION. I ALSO HAVE FIBROMALGIA, TREATMENTS INJECTION, PAIN MEDICATIONS, EX. NOTHING HAS WORKED FOR ME. PLEASE HELP.NEED ADVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi...i cant help you with recommending a surgeon. you could contact a teaching haspital in your area and ask for the neurosurgery department. you could check the back ground of the surgeons and see one of them. i would get two opinions. hopefully there is a surgical solution to your situation.....pete

From your first sentence it sounds like you think you're too old for surgery? I just had it in April, and I'm 64! You're still young! I suffered for 40 years, progressively getting worse. FINALLY I convinced my doctor to get an MRI and a professional opinion. It was in the nick of time. My surgery was not only necessary, it was imperative. My surgeon said my MRI "certainly got his attention." He said most people in my condition were wheeled in by a family member. Soooo, long story short, without all the technical names, I had three cervical vertebra completely removed and replaced with donor bone, decompression of the spinal cord, and five unit spinal fusion. Now over four months later, I am so much better. It was a hard couple of months after surgery, lots of pain. But it gets better. Find a good surgeon.
