Siatic I think

I have had this going on almost 4 weeks I have pain radiating from lower back left buttock and down the back of left leg.it hurts to cough sneeze or to walk . I went to a chiropractor yesterday and she said it would be worse today after manulpation and she was right . Is there anything that will help the pain is horrible

Hi Jenni :) I would guess that you are having issues in the S2 area. After 3 back surgeries, I know more about spines and nerves than I should! I rely heavily on Dermatome maps to judge where my issues are. If this was a problem with your sciatic nerve, the pain would be coming from L5 and possibly S1. The fact that the pain runs down the back of your thigh, as opposed to coming around the hip and down the front of your leg, is why I say it is S2 related. Have you tried any OTC NSAID's? Sometimes they will help with inflammation, thereby reducing your pain. It is hard to know exactly what is going on without xrays or a MRI etc. Hope that this doesn't last too long for you....I've had chronic pain from my surgeries for 14 years now :(
