herniated disc

My son has a herniated disc in his lower back, He is in sever pain. He is going to try decompression of the spine. Has anyone had results with this procedure. Does it really work

It may help.
But his disc is leaking in a cense
The center holds the material that is the shock absorber
Of the vertebra. Now that it's mashed.
It may never be the same.
And will get worse over time.
If it was a slipped disc then yes.
This will be a problem for him for life.

Decompression is good but not enough.
I have herniated disk as well. What helped me is:
- PT
- Swimming
- DOING PT EXERCISES AT HOME EVERY DAY.. I MEAN EVERYDAY
- being aware of your health as a whole.
Back pain makes you revisit everything you were doing wrong, from posture, to eating habits
